2nd Annual Allen Chili Cook-Off - Some Like it Hot!
Chili aficionados bring your best recipes or appetites out for the Second Annual Allen Chili Cook-off to be held on Saturday, November 13th, in The Village at Allen parking lot between Dodie’s Place Sports Grill and the Allen Event Center. The Allen Chili Cook-Off began in 2009 as a fun way to showcase our community's best amateur chefs, and as an event to bring people together for a great time and a great cause. Our 2009 inaugural event was a great time had by all, and this year promises to not let you down. The Texas Stampede Rodeo will be starting on November 10th at the Allen Event Center, and will be wrapping up on the 13th, in what will be one heck of a chili cook-off.
100% of all proceeds made at the Allen Chili Cook-Off go to the Rotary Club of Allen. The Rotary Club of Allen supports many Collin County causes, and you can read more about their efforts here.
You can browse this website for information about registering to enter the chili cook-off. To just come out and enjoy the fun, admission for over 12 is only $9. Children 42" and over is $5, and children under 42" are free. Click here to view the chili contestants currently entered in the 2010 Allen Chili Cook-Off.
