1st Annual Allen Chili Cook-OffClick Here to See 2009 WinnersPhoto GalleryThe Allen Chili Cook-Off is beginning in 2009 as a fun way to showcase our community's best amateur chefs, and as an event to bring people together for a great time and a great cause. We are hoping our inaugural event can draw at least 2,000 chili fans, and at least 50 cooking teams. This year's event will take place on October 24th, in the parking lot at The Village at Allen, just outside of Dodie's Place, between Dodie's Place and the new Allen Event Center. 100% of all proceeds made at the Allen Chili Cook-Off go to the Rotary Club of Allen. The Rotary Club of Allen supports many Collin County causes, and you can read more about their efforts here. You can browse this website for information about registering to enter the chili cook-off. To just come out and enjoy the fun, admission for over 12 is only $5. Children 6-12 are $3, and children 5 and under are free. Allen Rotary Coats for Kids Drop Location
The Allen Chili Cook-Off will be a drop location for the Coats for Kids program. This program's goal is to provide a coat for every child in Allen that has a need. This year, the Allen Rotary Club is getting help from the Sunrise Rotary Club of Allen and other local service organizations, Kiwanis, Lions Club, etc. Please bring a new child-sized coat to donate to this program.
